Description: The East Quogue School District is searching for a 6th grade special education teacher for our great district on the south fork of Eastern Long Island. *New York State Certification: Special Education 1-6* Master's Degree (Preferred) Expected Start Date: September 1, 2026 Responsibilities Include:· Provide special education instruction aligned with New York State Learning Standards· Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)· Provide direct instruction in small-group and co-teaching settings· Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation· Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of students· Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff· Collect and maintain data on student progress and performance· Communicate effectively with families and staff· Maintain a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment
