The East Quogue Union Free School District is seeking an exceptional educational leader to serve as our next Business Official/Treasurer. We are looking for a collaborative, student-centered professional who possesses outstanding financial management skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to supporting the educational mission of our district. Responsibilities Include: Oversee all district financial operations, including budget development and administration. Prepare and monitor the annual school budget and multi-year financial plans. Manage purchasing, accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting. Coordinate state aid, grants, audits, and required New York State financial reporting. Develop long-range financial strategies that support district goals and initiatives. Supervise business office personnel and collaborate with district administrators. Assist the Superintendent and Board of Education with financial planning, presentations, and policy implementation. Oversee transportation, facilities, capital projects, security, and non-instructional operations, as assigned. Ensure compliance with all applicable New York State laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Foster positive relationships with employees, vendors, community members, and governmental agencies. Qualifications: New York State School District Business Leader (SDBL) Certification. Experience in school district business administration, finance, budgeting, and operations. Knowledge of New York State Education Law, municipal finance, purchasing requirements, and state aid. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, staff, and the Board of Education. High ethical standards, integrity, and attention to detail. Experience with capital projects, facilities management, and long-range financial planning is preferred.
