Description: The East Quogue School District is searching for a Library Media Specialist for our great district on the south fork of Eastern Long Island.Responsibilities:Develop and implement engaging lessons for students’ kindergarten-6th grade.Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth.Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.Assisting students and staff with locating, borrowing, and returning library materialsManaging and organizing library collections and displaysSupporting students in developing research and information literacy skillsMaintaining a welcoming and engaging library environmentCollaborating with teachers to support classroom instructionAssisting with the use of educational technology and digital toolsCollaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to enhance student learning.Maintain open communication with families to support student success.Promote a positive and respectful classroom culture aligned with school values.Qualifications:New York State Certification: Library Media Specialist Strong classroom management and communication skills.Passion for teaching and commitment to student success.
