Is dedicated to developing students character and decision making abilities. Has the ability to collaborate with and support students, staff, families and community partners. GENERAL RESPONSIBILTIES:Effectively manages student behavior and attendance issues in cooperation with Principal and Assistant Principals.Shares in the responsibility of ensuring a safe and healthy school environment for all students and staff.Collaborates with students, staff, parents and community partners to support student success in achieving and maintaining education success.Assist in daily and after school supervision of students.Assists building administrators with responsibilities for student’s activities, athletic events, programs of student orientation and similar activities.Engages students beyond the classroom, by taking an active role in their daily lives.Is proactive in maintaining a safe and productive school environment conducive to maximizing student learning. (PBIS/Peer mediation)Collaborates with instructional and non-instructional staff to develop strategies for classroom management.Will support the Dignity for All Coordinator in responding to and preventing harassment, bullying and or/ discrimination.Will establish a program to monitor and systematically reduce student truancy.Performs such duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by administration.
