Alexander Hamilton High School in the Elmsford Union Free School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Band/Music Teacher to inspire and educate our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive music program that fosters creativity, musical appreciation, and technical proficiency.Responsibilities:Plan, organize, and instruct high school students in various aspects of instrumental music, including concert band, and other ensembles as needed.Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with New York State Learning Standards for Music.Conduct rehearsals, performances, and concerts throughout the school year.Maintain and manage school-owned musical instruments and equipment.Recruit and retain students in the music program.Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.Participate in school and district events as required.Potentially oversee extracurricular music activities (e.g., music clubs, competitions).
