Minimum requirements are NYS Teaching Assistant certification and some experience working with children of secondary school age. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Reinforcement of lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groupsAssisting students with understanding appropriate behavior in the school and in classroomsAssisting teachers with attendance, grades, modification of learning materialsAssisting teachers with preparation for lessons - eg.) getting materials ready or setting up equipment, such as computers, labs, etc.Supervising students in class, between classes, during lunch and recess, and on field trips
