AIS Teacher - Grades 2-4 Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Job description: Evergreen Charter School is seeking an AIS Teacher for 2nd through 4th grades at our Intermediate School. The mission of Evergreen Charter School (ECS) is to nurture the intellectual, physical and social development of children, through a comprehensive program that promotes academic excellence and prepares its students for success in school and in life. Responsibilities include, and are not limited to, the following: Create a positive, structured learning environment to ensure that students observe the school’s core values and high expectations. Collaborate with fellow grade and or subject level teachers to plan instruction. Implement formative and summative assessments and analyze the data to inform further instruction. Collaborate with classroom teachers for the purpose of improving instructional outcomes for students. Demonstrate exemplary classroom management practice and possess a deep understanding of pedagogical theory for the purpose of modeling best practices in literacy and improving student achievement levels. Commit to professional growth, participating actively in department meetings, faculty meetings, and professional development initiatives. Participate in the extracurricular activities hosted at ECS, collaborate within the team, and meet all professional responsibilities. Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Valid New York State Teacher Certification.
