Edgemont Junior-Senior High School is seeking candidates for an anticipated leave replacement school counselor position for grades 7-9 from September 2025 through March 2026. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the social-emotional needs of young adolescents, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask the various demands of the role.The candidate will be expected to fulfill the multitude of responsibilities, some of which include the following: individual and group counseling, overseeing students’ academic progress, communication and collaboration with colleagues, staff, students, families, and administration, and participation in various teams and committees. Prior experience as a school counselor is strongly preferred. Valid NYS certification as a School Counselor is required.
