The Senior Office Assistant is expected to complete a wide variety of tasks spanning: (Approx. Percent of Time) and Description of Tasks6% Keeping track of her schedule, organizing meetings, preparing reports and letters, and maintaining her calendar.8% Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) - scheduling observations and post conferences, updating staff information in Frontline, and assisting with the district observation schedule 8% Curriculum and assessment initiatives - coordinating Tri-State visits, curriculum writing, and professional meetings and sessions 8% Professional development support - contacting consultants, creating certificates of attendance and feedback forms, ordering meals, and coordinating session locations including technology support 5% Orientations - making copies, ordering meals, and coordinating session locations including technology support10% The budget process - obtaining vendor quotes, inputting data in nVision, and making copies10% Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) grant application - collecting and inputting data into the NYSED portal10% New York State Education Department (NYSED) reporting for ESSA and APPR 25% Purchase and inventory of instructional materials, resources, and supplies10% Professional communications and support - planning events for the Board of Education, administrators, Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) staff, Scarsdale Teachers’ Institute (STI) members, accreditation organizations, and vendors To do so, a high degree of initiative is required to ensure tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
