Compensation: Hourly rate per Edgemont UFSD Teacher Aide Unit Contract$22.28/hr - $34.37/hr, depending on one’s assigned step.Description:Unified Sports is a new interscholastic athletic partnership between the New York State High School Athletic Association and the Special Olympics, providing additional athletic opportunities for our students in the ICAP program. Under the general supervision of a certified coach or school administrator, an incumbent is responsible for performing noninstructional duties to assist certified coaches in an interscholastic setting. An incumbent relieves certified coaches of routine duties related to the learning process which can be performed by non-professional personnel. Incumbents of this position may be employed as a one-on-one Teacher Aide assigned to assist a student with special needs. Teacher aides will travel with student-athletes and the team via bus, assist student-athletes as needed during the contest (within the parameters of the sport), and remain with the student-athletes until they are picked up by their parent/guardian. All home practices and games will be held at Homefield Lanes in Yonkers.Date & Time:Maximum of six (6) dates, including two (2) practices and four (4) matches, starting no earlier than Monday, March 20, 2023. Start Time: 3:07 p.m. Anticipated End Time: 6:30 p.m.Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
