Edgemont Jr/Sr High School is seeking a Teaching Assistant for its ICAP program (Intensive Communication Achievement Program). Must possess valid NYS Teaching Assistant certification. Responsibilities include:Support students’ academic and behavioral needsImplement lessons as directed by the lead teacherWork with students 1:1 and in small groups on academic and real-life tasksCollaborate and communicate with lead teacher and classroom aides to ensure the well-being of studentsCollect data and monitor student progress as neededPreferred experience:Strong background in working with students with disabilities at the middle school and high school levels and strong desire to do soA professional, patient and calm demeanor with children of all agesApply only on OLAS, must be NYS Fingerprinted.
