Physical Therapist Fee for Service with potential for Full Time Position in September 2022(PT retiring in August) Be a member of ECEC’s multidisciplinary team providing physical therapy to children with various motor delays. Expertise in assessment, report and goal writing, equipment, data collection and treatment of preschool children with autism and other developmental needs required. Program hours are 8:30 am to 1:00 pmResponsibilities:Evaluate children in the classroom and/or related service programs utilizing a whole child approach with emphasis on neuro-motor status, transitional skills, functional mobility skills, strength, balance and coordination skills.Develop and implement treatment program for children with various needs.Evaluate the need for splints and/or adaptive equipment; fabricate as called for, or refer to appropriate resources as necessary (i.e., orthotist, physician, etc.)Maintain accurate and up-to-date data records of therapy sessions with children (i.e., attendance, performance, goal progress, changes in programming).Advocate for child and family when appropriate (e.g., attend CSE, CPSE, visit other programs, attend outside evaluations).Upgrade clinical skills and knowledge by attending continuing education courses/workshops.Maintain equipment (i.e., cleaning, reordering, etc.)Actively participate at team meetings regarding children’s programs and development of problem-solving strategies.Consult with, and instruct staff and parents on how to best meet each child’s therapy needs.Position:Fee-for-Service Full time with benefits September 2022 - Salary based on experience Qualifications:• Current New York State License and Registration in Physical Therapy• New Graduates are required to have a Doctorate in Physical Therapy• Valid Driver’s License• Early Childhood Experience –1 year preferredApply on OLAs and send Letter of Interest and Resume to:Rachelle Kehoe rkehoe@ececny.org
