Special Education Teacher - Grade 62025-2026 Eastchester Middle SchoolEastchester Middle School is seeking a dynamic and collaborative educator to join our team as a Grade 6 Special Education Teacher. The ideal candidate will work closely with general education teachers to support student learning, actively participate in IEP development and annual reviews, and contribute to a student-centered, inclusive learning environment.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with general education teachers to implement differentiated instruction and support co-teaching models.Develop and deliver specialized instruction tailored to the diverse needs of students with IEPs.Actively participate in the IEP development process, including goal-setting, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision-making.Attend and contribute to annual review meetings to ensure compliance with special education regulations.Utilize assessment tools and student data to guide instruction and monitor student progress.Foster strong communication and collaboration with families, support staff, and administration.Support students' academic, social, and emotional growth.Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and compliance with special education laws and IEP goals.Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.QualificationsDual NYS certification preferred: Elementary Education & Special Education.Strong knowledge of IEP development, annual review process and differentiated instruction.Effective collaboration skills for working with general education teachers and support staff.Experience with co-teaching models, MTSS, inclusive and differentiated classroom strategies preferred.NYSED Fingerprint Clearance required.Employment Terms:10 month, full time probationary positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; $62,620 - $86,668, step placement contingent upon prior related experience.
