School Psychologist (CSE Chairperson), ProbationaryHigh School2025-2026The Eastchester High School is seeking candidates for the full -time probationary position of secondary CSE Chairperson. QUALIFICATIONS:Prior experience leading and participating in CSE/504 meetingsThorough knowledge of CSE guidelines and regulations as related to Special Education servicesStrong understanding of psychological and educational testing and evaluations Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, and digital)Ability to work and problem solve effectively with a variety of peopleDUTIES:Implement and maintain procedures relevant to the CSE process; Ensure that all students referred to the CSE receive the necessary evaluations;Work cooperatively with parents, outside placements and the District to coordinate programs and services as a result of CSE meetings; Prepares agenda and schedule meetings of the CSE;Chair CSE meetings and complete IEPs; Work cooperatively with the school staff to place students in an appropriate program; Stay apprised of all NYS laws and regulations pertaining to special education services for school age studentsRequirements: NYS certification: School PsychologistNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:10 month, full time probationary positionSalary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; $62,620 - $86,668, step placement contingent upon prior related experience. Internal transfers will maintain their step and salary placement.*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
