Mathematics Teacher (Algebra) - Summer Ramp Up ProgramSummer 2024Eastchester Middle School(Program location: Eastchester High School)The Eastchester Middle School is seeking a certified mathematics teacher for the Ramp Up to Algebra summer course, specifically designed for rising 8th to 9th graders transitioning into Algebra 1. This course will support students in strengthening prerequisite algebra skills and remediating gaps in understanding that are crucial to success in the Algebra 1 course. Middle School experience preferred.Requirements:Dual NYS certification preferred: Mathematics; Elementary/Childhood EducationNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:Summer, temporary position (July 8 - August 8, 2023)The instructor for each class will be compensated $53.04/hour.*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES). The Commissioner of Education carries out these responsibilities through the New York State.
