Computer AideTemporary AssignmentsSummer 2024There are anticipated vacancies beginning July 1, 2024 for Computer Aide in the Technology Department. The position will help implement projects in educational technology to help the district advance its capacity.Responsibilities:Unload and stock materials and supplies;Assist in recycling materials;Replace ink cartridges and toners as needed;Unpack, assemble and set up equipment;Prepare audio/visual equipment for presentations;Repair printers and other equipment;Relocate equipment;Keep inventory sheets current;Clean equipment as needed;Run wires and terminate connections;Travel between district buildings to complete assignments using your own vehicle.Requirements:Working knowledge of the capabilities of the computer equipment and software packages utilized by the school district;Ability to assist and instruct others in the use of the computers and software packages;Ability to understand diverse software manuals and their applicability to current curriculum;Ability to maintain discipline;Good judgment, tact and courtesy;Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions;Dependable and thorough;Physical condition commensurate with the duties of the position;Must have a valid driver’s license;NYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:Summer Temporary AssignmentsFull-time and Part-Time shifts available; Full-Time preferred. Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The workweek is 35 hours, 7 hours per day. Salary: $17 - $25/ hour.*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
