Responsibilities:Support academically at-risk students in small group instruction under the direction of building administrationPlanning and delivering lessons that feature early literacy foundational skills and strategiesPossesses knowledge and understanding of early childhood developmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsRequirements:Dual NYS certification preferred: Elementary/Childhood Education and Literacy/ReadingNYSED Fingerprint Clearance*Employment Terms:Per diem leave replacement assignmentSalary range: $61,265 - $144,847, step placement contingent upon prior related experience. Salary to be prorated to a per diem rate of 1/200.*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
