Teaching Assistant, Probationary 2023-2024 Waverly School The Eastchester School District is seeking an experienced nurturing candidate to fill the position of teaching assistant in the Waverly School assigned to work with small groups of children (grades K-1) to support learning in the classroom and/or in a pull out model.Requirements: NYS certification: Teaching AssistantNYSED Fingerprint ClearanceEmployment Terms: 10-month, probationary position Salary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule.*Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
