Probationary Elementary Education Teacher - 1st Grade. The successful candidate will be able to plan and execute lessons and work collaboratively with colleagues, administration, and parents to best meet the needs of the students. The candidate will be well versed in Response to Intervention Tier 1 classroom interventions such as creating and executing targeted small group lessons and providing scaffolds for students as needed. The candidate will also have experience crafting and executing positive behavior reinforcement plans, utilizing multi-sensory approaches as needed, and administering academic informal and formal assessments. Qualifications: Must possess appropriate NYS certification Prerequisite: Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law ยงยง305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES). The Commissioner of Education carries out these responsibilities through the New York State Education Department's Office of School Personnel Review and Accountability (OSPRA).
