Director of Mid-Hudson Regional Partnership CenterGENERAL STATEMENTOF JOB:The Director, Systems Change Facilitator, will provide leadership to the Regional Partnership Center, including conducting regional and district needs assessments and deploying the resources of the specialists, under the direction of Office of Special Education. The Systems Change Facilitator will be the expert on implementation science and systems change.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: • Full-time, 12-month, Length of Project• District-level Administrative assignment, Tenure Track• Competitive salary; $120,000 – $135,000negotiable based on qualifications and experience• Full complement of health and other related benefitsREPORTS TO: Deputy Superintendent SUPERVISES: Mid-Hudson Regional Partnership Center Staff QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: Minimum Qualifications: Masters Degree or above in Special Education and/or related fieldAt least three years’ experience as a teacher or related service provider with students with disabilitiesKnowledge of special education law, regulations, and policyValid NYS teacher and/or administrative certificationExperience providing professional development and/or technical assistance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in IEP developmentAt least three years’ experience in building/district leadership roleExperience in planning, implementing, and evaluating school improvement initiativesExcellent presentation, organizational and time-management skillsExperience in the leadership, development, and support of teamsExcellent communication, problem-solving, relationship building and organization skillsAbility to travel throughout the Mid-Hudson regionAbility participate in at least one overnight trip to Albany annuallyKNOWLEDGE, SKILLSAND ABILITIESDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following is indicative of the level and types of activities performed by incumbents in this title. Maintain grant and ensure deliverables are being met2. Hire, supervise, and evaluate staff specialists3. Develop and maintain contract budget4. Maintain and submit all required reports to NYSED OSE5. Engage in regional planning process in collaboration with NYSED OSE in order to deploy resources aligned to OSE priorities6. Facilitate regional level team to review and update regional work plan7. Coordinate monthly meetings with Early Childhood and School-age Family and Community Engagement Centers8. Plan, facilitate, and conduct regional team check-ins for fidelity coaching, professional development, problem-solving, observations, feedback, and direct support from the Technical Assistance Partnerships9. Serve as a rotating member of the Partnership Implementation Team10. Conduct needs assessments with identified district to determine staff deployment, and to better understand systems change required within that district11. Provide professional development to staff in collaboration with the Technical Assistance PartnershipEVALUATION: Deputy Superintendent
