The Dover Union Free School District is seeking a qualified candidate for a Math Academic Intervention Services (AIS) Teacher at Dover Middle School. The successful candidate will provide targeted, data-driven math intervention to students in grades 6 through 8 who require additional support to meet grade-level expectations, in alignment with New York State standards and district MTSS/AIS frameworks. Key Responsibilities Targeted Instruction: Deliver interventions to small groups of students (Tier 2 and Tier 3) in Grades 6–8. Data Analysis: Monitor student progress through frequent formative assessments and use data to adjust instructional strategies. Collaboration: Work alongside general education math teachers to align intervention content with current classroom standards (Common Core/State Standards). Progress Reporting: Maintain detailed records of student growth and provide regular updates to parents, teachers, and the RTI (Response to Intervention) team. Curriculum Adaptation: Modify and scaffold grade-level materials to make complex mathematical concepts accessible to struggling learners.
