The Dover Union Free School District is now accepting applications for an Elementary Math AIS Teacher. The teacher in this role will be responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing instruction designed to support elementary math students in small group settings and within a student’s classroom. The Math AIS teacher will also be expected to collaborate with classroom teachers, administer formative assessments, utilize data to make instructional decisions, incorporate a variety of manipulatives/hands-on activities, and foster communication with families regarding students’ progress.Applicants must hold valid New York Certification in Elementary Education - Early Childhood, Birth - 2. Additional certification in Childhood 1-6 and Special Education K-12 is helpful. A strong math background knowledge is required for this position.
