The following position is available starting the 2026-27 school year Position: School Psychologist Contractual Start Date: September 2, 2026 *Summer work up to 20 days per diem to start July 2026 Position Overview Dolgeville Central School District is seeking a dedicated and collaborative School Psychologist to support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of students. The successful candidate will work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines. Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive psychological reports. Participate as a key member of the Committee on Special Education (CSE) / Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) meetings. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, social workers, and related service providers to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide consultation to teachers and staff regarding behavioral, social-emotional, and academic interventions. Assist in the development and implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). Support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)/Instructional Support Team processes through data analysis and progress monitoring, grades 7-12. Provide crisis intervention and support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties. Collaborate with families to support student needs and promote positive home-school partnerships. Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with FERPA, IDEA, and district policies. Qualifications Master’s degree in School Psychology. Valid New York State School Psychologist Certification Knowledge of NYS special education regulations, evaluation procedures, and best practices in assessment. Experience working with diverse learners, including students with disabilities and social-emotional needs. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in school-based psychological assessment and report writing. Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for academic and behavioral challenges. Experience supporting MTSS/RTI frameworks. Familiarity with behavioral assessment and intervention planning.
