The Dolgeville Central School District, located in the scenic Mohawk Valley Region, is seeking a Director of Pupil Personnel Services to oversee the District's Special Education services, and serve as CSE Chair. The successful candidate will join and lead a District that believes in every child and in providing the most appropriate services for each child. The Director of Pupil Personnel Services will coordinate referrals to alternate placements and community agencies, implement Board of Education and Administrative policies at the District level, and be responsible for developing and carrying out short and long-term District goals. Additionally, the Director will prepare reports and recommendations for the Committee on Special Education for BOE action, and supervise and evaluate Special Education Staff, and our dynamic team of School Counselors, School Psychologist, Social Worker, and Reading Specialists. Also, the Director of Pupil Personnel Services will fulfill the District's reporting obligations for special education programs with State and Federal agencies, and work closely with the Superintendent and Principals to recruit, hire, assign and orient staff members for the varies areas of Pupil Personnel Services. The leader of the District's Special Education Program will also ensure the maintenance of all student records and reports, and make certain that such organization and supervision of such records are in-line with current policies and procedures. Finally, the Director of Pupil Personnel Services will perform other duties assigned by the Superintendent of Schools, when needed.
