The Dobbs Ferry School District has an anticipated vacancy for a part-time Kindergarten Teacher Aide at Springhurst Elementary School, effective January 14, 2026. This is a regular, part-time position (17.5 hours per week, Mondays - Fridays). In accordance with Westchester County Civil Service rules, the successful candidate must complete a maximum 52-week probationary period. Other terms of employment are in accordance with the CSEA Clerical, Teacher Aide/Teaching Assistant contract. Description: Under general supervision of a certified teacher or school administrator, responsible for performing non-instructional duties to assist certified teachers in a classroom setting. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit; is regularly required to climb, squat, stop, kneel, crouch or crawl; to reach above the head and reach forward; is regularly required to use hands and fingers to feel or handle objects, tools, or controls, and to talk and hear; is occasionally required to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds.
