TITLE:Curriculum and Staff Development Coordinator – Math and Science Content Focus LOCATION:Support Services Center, Norwich, NY REPORTS:Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services TERMS:Full-time, 12 months QUALIFICATIONS:Must hold a valid Permanent or Professional teaching certificate and at least three years of satisfactory teaching experience, or a valid Initial, Provisional, Permanent or Professional certificate and an educational degree(s) beyond the baccalaureate level that qualifies an individual to be competent to deliver instructional support services in Math and Science content. Experience as a teacher, experience with staff development, instructional coaching, needs assessment design and curriculum improvement activities and working with teams; expertise in presentations to teachers and administrators and training desired. Knowledge of research-based best practices in instruction, current NYS standards, math and science curriculum and related assessment strategies; data driven instruction, teacher, and leader content best practices.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:Selected candidate will provide leadership in programs, practices, and activities leading to the improvement of student outcomes, primarily through curriculum and staff development activities, and coaching and training teachers and school administrators. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of resources and information on current educational research and practice, instructional coaching, and for conducting workshops and sessions in best practices in instruction and assessment.SALARY/BENEFITS:Starting salary $71,800, plus credit for prior experience.
