TITLE:Computer TechnicianLOCATION:WaltonREPORTS:Director of Management ServicesTERMS:Full-time, 12 monthsQUALIFICATIONS:Competitive Civil Service position. Candidates must meet the minimum Civil Service qualifications and successfully complete the exam.Minimum Requirements:2 years of college with specialization in computer science, computer technology, or computer repair and two years full paid or equivalent part time experience. Or,4 years of college with specialization in computer science, computer technology, or computer repair. Or,4 years of paid experience in the installation and maintenance of computers and related peripheral equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:Deliver, install, maintain and test computer hardware, software, peripheral equipment and necessary cabling. Configure system to standards. Respond to requests for assistance from computer users experiencing problems with computers or peripheral equipment. Install and maintain Local Area Networks and internet connections. Repair hardware. Maintain computer-related records. Conduct computer use training.
