Cato-Meridian CSD is seeking a qualified and compassionate long-term substitute social worker to support the social-emotional and mental health needs of elementary students. The position is from August 28, 2025 through November 21, 2025. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teachers, families, and community agencies to remove barriers to learning and promote student success.Key Responsibilities:Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social-emotional well-beingCollaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement intervention strategiesServe as a liaison between home, school, and community agenciesParticipate in Student Support Team (SST) and Response to Intervention (RtI) processesProvide crisis intervention and support for students and familiesMaintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district policies and professional standardsQualifications:New York State Certification as a School Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW)Prior experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting preferredStrong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
