The Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) Teacher provides high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction that supports the academic, social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of preschool-aged children. Responsibilities include: planning and delivering engaging, play-based lessons aligned with the New York State Prekindergarten Learning Standards creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment; monitoring student progress through ongoing assessment; collaborating with families and school staff; maintaining compliance with New York State regulations and district policies. Qualifications include: NYS Pre-Kindergarten certification Belief in ensuring high levels of learning for all students The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of early childhood development, effective classroom management, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that prepares students for kindergarten success.
