Role:The Director of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), under the guidance of the Assistant Superintendent, you will lead and oversee the development of a district-wide MTSS program that supports the whole child. You will be responsible for collaborating closely with administrators, educators, support staff, families, and students to establish and implement a tiered framework that uses data to meet the needs of each and every student through academics, behavior, and social-emotional learning (SEL) interventions. You will provide guidance across the district to ensure that research-based MTSS strategies, interventions, and systems are in place to support student achievement. Responsibilities:Leads the research, development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of a District wide Multi-Tiered System of Supports Framework Monitor the alignment and progress of the District wide MTSS Framework to the District’s strategic plan.Implement and lead a District MTSS Committee that includes representation from all stakeholders.Based on needs assessment, oversee the development of Tier 1, 2, and 3 intervention protocols, problem-solving processes, data-based decision-making, progress monitoring- to include support with scheduling, and communication and collaboration processes among Student Support Teams.Identify and/or implement district-wide universal screening for academics, social-emotional learning, and behavior.Develop training programs and provide ongoing support for leadership teams, staff, and teachers on the MTSS framework and research-based practices for tiered interventions.Implement an MTSS intervention management system to ensure effective data collection, data analysis, and program evaluation and efficacy.Consistently support teachers and administrators in the use of the intervention management system to best support students academic, behavioral, and social needs. Partner with community organizations, government agencies, out-of-school programs, and families to ensure availability of resources for school buildings.Ensure all necessary grant elements are completed and shared with the Director of Grants who is responsible for submitting all required documentation to DODEA. Other duties at the discretion of the Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent.Requirements:NYS SDL Certification5+ years of experience in educational administration and/or classroom experience.Knowledge of the MTSS framework, research based positive behavior interventions and supports, response to intervention (RTI), social-emotional learning (SEL), restorative practices, trauma-informed practices, and family engagementAbility to provide leadership and manage complex projectsAbility to facilitate change management within individuals, teams, and organizations, including implementing professional learning for adult learners and staff developmentExceptional interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collect, analyze, and present data to drive improvement to all stakeholders.Commitment to working with students from marginalized communities through an asset-based mindset and proactive approachEqual Opportunity Employer
