Job Title: Community Schools CoordinatorReports to: Director of GrantsSalary Range: $50,000-$60,000 based on experienceSUMMARY: The Community Schools Coordinator is a position created under CCSD Board of Education Priority #2: Community Connections and the DoDEA C5 Grant. The Community Schools Coordinator is a liaison who will partner with district administrators, teachers, school staff, parents, community members, and students to design and implement programs and services that meet the needs of students, their families and the community. This is a five year grant-funded employment opportunity subject to renewal. RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain positive working relationships with principals and administrators, teachers and staff, families, community members and partner organizations.Participate on PK-12 applicable school based problem solving teams and effectively contribute to resolving resource support needs.Work with partners to develop programming and activities for students and their families (i.e. parent/family nights, back to school events, etc)Plan and implement activities to connect families with local community services such as food distribution; housing; temporary assistance, etc.Conducts outreach efforts to community partners to expand and coordinate services that work toward the common goal of student success and wellnessDevelop, maintain, and publicize a schedule of programs and activities offered at the school.Plan, organize, coordinate and oversee the authentic student learning experiences and/or student internships with community partners and/or organizations. This aligns with College and Career Readiness Standards.Attend community schools trainings, conferences and meetings to ensure continued professional development requirements as well as turn key the information to pertinent members of the school communityComplete data collection and reporting responsibilities related to the grant requirementsOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS:Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Communications, Humanities, Business, Public Administration or a related field and experience in program management, community relations or education preferred.Apply on OLAS
