The Croton-Harmon UFSD is looking for a MODIFIED FOOTBALL ASSISTANT COACH. Reports to: Director of Health, Wellness, Physical Education and AthleticsLocation: Croton-Harmon School DistrictStipend: $4,028 for the Fall 2026 Athletic Season as outlined by Section 1 Key Responsibilities:Assist in the planning and implementation of structured and age-appropriate practices that focus on fundamental skill development.Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to student-athletes during practices, games, and team-related activities.Promote a positive team culture that reflects the values and expectations of the Croton-Harmon School District.Support academic achievement and monitor student well-being.Ensure compliance with all Croton-Harmon, Section 1, and NYSPHSAA policies and procedures.Maintain equipment and inventory as needed.Serve as a positive role model and ambassador for the school and athletic program.Qualifications:Prior coaching experience preferred; experience working with middle or high school athletes is a plus.Knowledge of the sport, including rules, techniques, and player development strategies.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Must hold or be willing to obtain all required NYS coaching certifications, including:First Aid and CPR/AED CertificationDASA TrainingConcussion Management CertificationChild Abuse Identification & ReportingFingerprint ClearanceDesired Qualities:Passion for working with young student-athletes and helping them grow in skill and confidence.Collaborative mindset and willingness to work with other coaches and program staff.Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive team environment.Enthusiasm for promoting lifelong values through athletics.
