Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School is seeking a long-term substitute who wants to be part of an excellent, student-centered elementary school and join a very successful faculty. This position requires someone who is flexible and willing to be assigned to a classroom/duties on a daily basis. Pay is $130/day. A successful candidate will be able to:Be present at the school daily and on timeWork with elementary school students and offer them supportCarry out the professional duties of a classroom teacherDemonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn on the jobFoster professional relationships with teachers, staff and studentsManage the classroom and individual student behavior to maintain a productive, growth-oriented learning environmentCollaborate with faculty, staff and school administrationCommunicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, administrators and the community
