The Croton-Harmon School District is looking for an innovative, passionate, and collaborative educator to fill an anticipated opening for a probationary elementary intervention teacher in the Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. NYS certification in Literacy and Elementary Pre-K-6 is required. The successful candidate will be able to:· Commit to our district’s Vision Map that centers on reimagining learning, pursuit of passion, and building a culture of wellness in a future-focused system in an effort to develop “What School Can Be.”· Be open to elbow to elbow collaboration, multi-age groupings, interdisciplinary planning and teaching, and reimagining the typical structures of elementary schools.· Utilize school and district resources such as instructional/pedagogical coaching to create engaging, future-focused lessons, units, and assessments.· Plan and implement curriculum in conjunction with colleagues designed to be personalized, joyful, engaging, character development· Commit to ongoing professional learning and develop and adjust curriculum on an ongoing basis to meet students’ needs and interests.· Plan collaboratively with colleagues and be open to sharing and learning with and from others.· Create a personalized learning environment for students that meets individual needs and challenges students to reach their full potential. · Have the ability to self-evaluate, be reflective and problem solve.
