Located along the scenic Hudson and Croton Rivers, the Croton-Harmon School District is home to a diverse community. Croton-Harmon High School has an anticipated opening for a probationary Math teacher commencing January 3, 2023. The successful candidate will be able to: •Plan and implement curriculum in conjunction with the Math department designed to be personalized, engaging, and focused on developing skills and real-world applications. •Commit to ongoing professional learning and develop and adjust curriculum on an ongoing basis to meet students’ needs and interests. •Stay current on best and burgeoning pedagogical and curricular practices. •Have an interest in teaching an elective in the math or science department in addition to core content courses. • Commit to our district’s focus on developing into a future-driven school system. •Plan collaboratively with colleagues and be open to sharing and learning with and from others. • Create a personalized learning environment for students that meets individual needs and challenges students to reach their full potential. • Have the ability to self-evaluate, be reflective and problem solve. • Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education:Master’s Degree in Math/Math Education or similar. Experience:1-3 years of classroom experience preferred. Certificates & Licenses:Must be NYS certified in Math 7-12.
