The Corinth Central School District is looking for a certified School Social Worker to work at our Middle/High School campus. Applicants must possess New York State Certification as a School Social Worker and hold Professional Licensure as LMSW or LCSW. Interested applicants should have knowledge of relevant state and federal laws as well as community supports available to assist students and their families. Our Social Workers work as part of our student support team with duties such as:Providing individual and group counseling according to students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborating with school personnel in developing and implementing effective social and behavioral interventions for studentsFacilitating and collaborating in the development of Functional Behavior Assessments & Behavior Intervention Plans Coordinating between home, school and community resources to address a variety of student needs Regularly communicating with staff, administration and parents Consulting and collaborating with social services, mental health agencies and other community supports Assisting with problem-solving around student issues, and developing student centered solutionsContinuing professional development and relevant training on best practices
