LOCATION: Special Education – Airline Drive & Maywood AcademyBASIC FUNCTION: To provide music instruction to children with special needs with indirect support from or in conjunction with the Special Education teacher.QUALIFICATIONS: A. NYS teaching certification in Music K-12B. Teaching experience with students who have a variety of disabilities preferredRESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide music instruction and assessment to students with disabilities in grades K-12 with and adhere to any specific IEP needs. 2. This teaching position requires knowledge of behavior management and instructional skills concomitant to the most recent Learning Standards.
