The Committee on Special Education (CSE) Chairperson plays a pivotal role in ensuring that students with disabilities receive appropriate special education services in accordance with federal and state regulations. This anticipated position is part of the Cornwall Central Teachers Association, reports to the Director of Pupil Personnel Services, and will be assigned primarily to Cornwall Central Middle School and Cornwall Central High School. The Chairperson leads and oversees the CSE process, including pre-meeting coordination, meeting facilitation, and post-meeting follow-up. This position requires a deep understanding of special education law, strong leadership and communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to collaborative decision-making that prioritizes student success. Candidates must possess appropriate NY State certification. NYS Teaching or Pupil Personnel Services Certification Required. Prior experience as a CPSE/CSE Chairperson, Special Education Teacher, School Psychologist, or Related Service Provider at the secondary level preferred
