The Cayuga-Onondaga is now accepting applications for an eLearning Specialist. The role of the eLearning Specialist is to manage, support, and monitor students enrolled in online courses. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Instructional Support Services. This is a 10-month position, following the teacher contract, with up to an additional 30 days over the summer.Job Responsibilities:Prepare and conduct student/teacher orientation and trainingManage Online courses and renewalsMonitor student course progress electronically and via site visitsGather and report student gradesServe as liaison between student, component school, parent/guardian, and content vendorManage/support student database and information systems (i.e. School Tool)Attend professional development and statewide networking eventsTravel to school districts to support studentsMay perform other responsibilities as directed by the Director of Instructional Support ServicesQualifications:Possess NYS teacher certificationMinimum of three years teaching experienceProficient with computer software suites (i.e. Google, MS Office and Student Management Systems)Experience with online learning / learning management system (LMS) preferredStrong communication, organization, collaboration, and interpersonal skillsMust be willing to travel to school districts throughout the region Must be willing to travel for professional developmentIn this position, you'll be a part of a great team that believes in our BOCES purpose of UNLEASHING POTENTIAL IN OUR COMMUNITY.
