Job Summary: As the Work-Based Learning Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating and overseeing work-based learning experiences for students. You will collaborate with Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers, employers, and students to develop and implement meaningful work-based learning opportunities. Your mission will be to empower students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful transition into the workforce, enhancing their career prospects and helping them unleash their potential in our community!Responsibilities:Develop and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, employers, and community partners to establish work-based learning opportunities.Identify and match students with suitable work-based learning placements based on their career interests and their CTE program.Coordinate the logistics of work-based learning experiences, including orientation sessions, site visits, and evaluations.Collaborate with employers to design and implement structured learning experiences that align with students' educational goals.Monitor and assess the progress of students during their work-based learning experiences, providing guidance and support as needed.Work closely with faculty and staff to integrate work-based learning into the curriculum effectively.Organize workshops and training sessions to prepare students for work-based learning opportunities and foster essential workplace skills.Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and safety guidelines throughout work-based learning experiences.Collect and analyze data related to work-based learning outcomes, and use the insights to continuously improve program effectiveness, specifically toward students achieving a Technical Endorsement upon completion of their program.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and labor market demands to enhance the relevance and quality of work-based learning placements.Requirements:New York State Work-Based Learning Coordinator Extension CertificationProven experience in coordinating work-based learning programs or relevant experience in education, talent development, or workforce development.Strong understanding of work-based learning principles and best practices.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with educational institutions, employers, and community partners.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Knowledge of educational curriculum development and alignment with workforce requirements.Demonstrated commitment to student success and passion for empowering students to achieve their career goals.Flexibility and adaptability to navigate challenges and changing circumstances in a dynamic work environment.In this position, you'll be a part of a great team that believes in our BOCES purpose to UNLEASH POTENTIAL IN OUR COMMUNITY.
