POSTINGAnticipated OpeningsTeacher AssistantProbationary PositionStart Date: 8/31/2022The Center Moriches School District is seeking a passionate, certified Special Education Teacher to work in our 8:1:1 program as a Teaching Assistant. The individual will be responsible for the development and delivery of lesson plans, implementation of behavioral strategies that diminish occurrences, and working closely with support staff in and out of the classroom to meet the needs of our students.Please note that Teaching Assistants that work in our 8:1:1 program are part of the Center Moriches Teachers Association and are entitled to 80% of a teacher’s salary and associated benefits. Applicants must have one of the following certifications:Special Education 1-6 with appropriate extension (Extension 7-9)Special Education 7-12 with appropriate extension (Extension 5-6)The District is willing to consider individuals that are working on the extension certification.
