The successful candidate should possess previous experience as a high school educator, understand the scheduling process, hold an understanding of state testing, is knowledgeable of different approaches to student discipline, can use data to help inform instruction in departments, and has the ability to lead professional learning activities. Additionally, it is essential that the successful candidate demonstrates excellent communication, written, and interpersonal skills.The responsibilities include: development and implementation of the master schedule, testing coordination of all New York State and Advanced Placement examinations, behavior management of students, day to day building management, oversight of the student management system (eSchool) for the high school, assist with the supervision of the guidance department, annual evaluations of a cohort of staff, assist with the facilitation of evening events for honor societies and other ceremonies, use student assessment data to make programmatic recommendations, act as liaison with security personnel assigned to the high school, coordinate all safety drills for the high school, manage the duty assignments for teachers/staff, assist with management of community correspondence and the website tab of the high school, and other duties assigned by the high school principal.
