The Commack School District seeks qualified applicantsfor the 2023-2024 School Year for the position of:Art Teacher District-WideProbationary, Tenured Track PositionNYS K-12 Art Certification Required Qualifications: NYS K-12 Art CertificationHigh level of artistry and pedagogy, emphasizing a well-rounded background in Fine, Digital, and Applied Arts.The ability to implement the elements of art and principles of design into instruction.Proficiency with the Adobe Create Suite.Additional information: Searching for an art educator who is innovative and passionate about art education. The successful candidate must be able to collaborate with both the administration and colleagues to facilitate current initiatives and bring new initiatives into the building(s), including art shows, displays, and contests. An understanding of STEAM interdisciplinary concepts is encouraged. There will be the opportunity for involvement with extracurricular activities and chaperoning after-school events as well.
