The Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources is delegated by the Superintendent to conduct all functions related to the district’s human resource management. The successful individual will demonstrate a unique balance of compassion, leadership skill, technological know-how, business acumen, and legal knowledge to effectively lead the district’s greatest asset—its people—and enhance the educational program. In addition, the individual will demonstrate the ability to collaborate as part of a team of educators and professionals within the school, district, and community context.The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources are organized into various categories, including but not limited to:1. Recruiting and Selection2. New Employee Orientation, Onboarding, and Mentoring3. Employee Training and Development4. Compensation and Employee Benefits5. Staff Planning and Budget Development6. Labor Relations7. Evaluation and Supervision of Staff8. Legal ComplianceQualifications:School District Leader (SDL) or School Administrator (SAS) certification required, or appropriate Civil Service title.•A minimum of five (5) years successful of experience as a school leader or human resources experience in a related field.•SHRM CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR Certification preferred•NYSED Fingerprint Clearance (OSPRA) required.
