TITLE: Director of Technology & Data ManagementREQUIRED CERTIFICATION: New York State School District Leader (SDL) (or SAS)AFFILIATION: Administrators Association of Chester (SAANYS affiliate) REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools JOB GOAL:The Director of Technology & Data Management plays a pivotal role in addressing the technology-based requirements across the school district’s programs and operations. This includes overseeing network and cybersecurity infrastructure, and the management of network contractors and vendors. The Director serves as the District Data Administrator, Title VII Officer, and Data Protection Officer, as well as provides network operators and end-user training. Additionally, they oversee the website and support data-informed instruction through the coordination and review of iReady and New York State (NYS) assessments. The Director also serves as the OU BOCES Tech Directors Liaison, ensuring effective collaboration and communication with regional tech leaders. Furthermore, the Director actively identifies opportunities for continuous improvement, supporting innovation, and fostering career-connected learning initiatives represented in the development and implementation of the district's technology plan. They are also willing to take on additional assignments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and dedication to the district's overall success.Effective communication with administration, technology team, teachers, and staff is paramount, aligning seamlessly with the district's student-centered, future-focused, and team-driven mission.
