The Chappaqua Central School District is a community of six schools serving 3500 students in Westchester County. Chappaqua CSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the position of Leave Replacement Health Teacher at Horace Greeley High School for the 23/24 school year.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesPosition begins August 31, 2023 and runs through June 30, 2024 with a competitive salary.Develops and engages students in Health classes consistent with school district vision and goals that is rooted in the NYS Standards.Knowledge of physiology, health and nutrition, biology and biological functions, anatomy, hygiene, exercise, and best ways to promote physical and mental well-beingAbility to promote knowledge and understanding of physiology, health and nutrition, anatomy, and biological functions.Develops students' concepts in nutrition, food groups, diet, caloric intake, vitamins, and related topics.Continues to engage in meaningful professional learning opportunities through readings, workshops, podcasts, conferences, and an active PLN.
