CAIRO-DURHAM CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICTSchool PsychologistDate: January 20, 2026Position Title: School PsychologistPosition Status: 1.0 FTEAppointment: Immediate start for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year, followed by a four-year probationary appointment.Reports to: Danielle Czech- Director, Pupil Personnel Services The Cairo Durham Central School District is soliciting applications for a full-time school psychologist for immediate appointment. The School Psychologist will support students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success, while working closely with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers. The successful candidate will be an active contributor to both general education and special education systems. Essential Duties:Conducting psychological evaluations and assessments in compliance with NYS Part 200Providing individual and group counseling to studentsConsulting with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and behaviorParticipating in CSE/CPSE meetings and supporting the development and monitoring of IEPsServing as a member of the district crisis intervention team, including de-escalation and responseCompleting district-provided restraint training and implementing approved interventions when necessarySupporting administrators with behavioral planning and student risk assessmentsMaintaining accurate, confidential records and documentationCollaborating with related service providers and community agenciesContributing to district-wide initiatives related to student wellness and social-emotional supports Qualifications and Expected Attributes:Master’s degree or higher in School PsychologyNew York State certification in School PsychologyAbility to work effectively in high-need and fast-paced environmentsExcellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis through February 5, 2026 on OLAS.
