If you’re exploring opportunities, here are some important questions to ask (and how Crossroads thoughtfully answers them). Is This a Mission-Driven Role or a Productivity-Driven One?At Crossroads Center for Children, our work is grounded in purpose. We are a not-for-profit, school-based program serving children ages 2–10 using a behaviorally based educational model rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).We do not operate on a high-volume, productivity-pressured clinic model. Instead, our focus is on meaningful outcomes for students, collaborative decision-making, and ethical, thoughtful service delivery. Speech therapy here is integrated into the school day and aligned with each student’s educational and functional goals. Will I Be Part of a True Team?Yes and that’s one of the most frequently cited reasons SLPs love working here.As an SLP at Crossroads, you’ll collaborate daily with:Special Education TeachersBoard Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)Occupational TherapistsPhysical TherapistsTeaching AssistantsYou’ll also be part of a team of speech-language pathologists, allowing for consultation, shared problem-solving, and professional support.
