2025-2026 School Year Anticipated VacanciesLocation: Kent Elementary SchoolSalary: Per CAA Contract - $135,000.00Elementary School Principal (Tenure Track Position)Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of experience in education, including teaching andbuilding-level administration, preferably at the elementary school levelProper NYS Building Level CertificationDemonstrated ability to:- Provide leadership and work effectively with students, staff members, parents, and educational community members- Use creative problem-solving, decision-making skills and good judgement to provide a positive learning environment resulting in positive development and continuous improvement for students and staff- Use information, including relevant research and student data, in working with teachers to improve student learning and achievement- Communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of constituentsDescription:Principal of a K-4 building Participates in school district planning and decision making consistent with the District’s mission, vision, core values, and annual strategic goals.Supervises and administers the building in accordance with District policies, regulations, and proceduresDevelops and evaluates instructional methods and programs and recommends such changes and improvements as may be requiredAssists in the implementation and maintenance of curriculum plans approved by the DistrictAssists in screening, interviewing, and recommending qualified candidates for positions on the school staff and in the orientation of new personnelSupervises and evaluates certified and classified building staffMaintains student Code of Conduct and coordinates the enforcement of disciplinary policiesPrepares and submits the school’s budgetary requests for purchases and repairs and monitors the expenses of school funds
