MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:New York State Certification as a Special Education TeacherInterstate agreements and qualifications of educational personnel will be honored.Driver’s licenseApplicants should possess appropriate experience and knowledge in working with students in a non-traditional learning setting.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Annual AppointmentEffective 9/1/22- 6/30/23Compensation per CTA ContractFlexible hours to be determined by the Director of Special Education (minimum 2 hours per day)BASIC FUNCTIONS:Assist and prepare for Technology Equipment for the ProgramAttend and prepare for orientation/informational meetings that address and affect stakeholdersDeliver special education supports per students’ IEPsAssist students with organization, time management and work submissionPerform home visits as neededResponsible for regular communication to parentsMonitor student attendanceMonitor student progressOversee Social Emotional Learning DevelopmentResponsible for connecting student and family with outside agencies as needed – mental health counseling, addiction counseling, and SPED services as needed.Support student successfully completing graduation requirementsPerform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education
